FIFTEEN people called 999 after suffering insect stings in one day last week.
Now the East of England Ambulance Service is asking people to think before they make an emergency call.
None of the 15 callers had suffered a severe allergic reaction and none required transport to hospital or treatment by paramedics.
The trust says only if there is swelling or itching on other parts of the body, or if the person is wheezing or has difficulty swallowing, should you call 999.
