POLICE are investigating claims that X Factor judge and N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos assaulted a blogger at V Festival.

Celebrity writer Vas Morgan has claimed that the 25-year-old charged towards him in a "drunken and angry state" in a backstage area at the Chelmsford event on Sunday.

Contostavlos is said to deny the assault but Essex Police are investigating.

A force spokeswoman confirmed that officers received the allegation of an assault yesterday. The attack is alleged to have taken place just after midnight.

She added: "We are making further inquiries."
