TIRED of having to fork out for expensive festival tickets this summer?
Then the Preview music club’s Big Bash at the Plough, in London Road, Westcliff, may be just the antidote.
This three-day live music bonanza will feature 30 acts and, best of all, it won’t cost you a penny.
It takes place across the bank holiday weekend, between 8pm and midnight, from Friday, August 23, until Sunday.
The varied sets will include something for everyone with covers, original songs, jazz, country, blues, bluegrass and rock music.
Friday sees Bob Hall, Phazed Band and the Southend Ukulele Orchestra. There will also be crowd-pleasing rock covers from the Fundamentals.
On Saturday, Kevin Hill will be playing country songs and the West Brothers Band will continue in the same vein.
Eric Williams will wow the audience with his virtuoso solo piano jazz performance and the Right Good and Proper Band will bring the blues with a cover set. Sunday will feature bands Wharfrats, Liquor and Poker, Moonlight Drive and Cohort, as well as many others.
The Plough will have a selection of beers, real ale, and food, available throughout the day.
