There wasachance for owners to sign up to dog obedience classes during the day organised by South Anglia Housing.
Meanwhile children could have fun on a bouncy castle, have their faces painted and take part in fun competitions.
Organisations attending include the RSPCA, PDSA and Dogs Trust, as well as kennels, dog food and training businesses.
Tracy White, managing director of South Anglia Housing, said: “By next year, it will be compulsory for dogs to be microchipped so we put on this event to help our residents be more responsible with their pets.
“By having your pet microchipped, there is a much higher chance of seeing them again if they go missing.”
