AN MP called on the Government to “go the extra mile” to help Syrian refugees.
John Baron, MP for Basildon and Billericay, said the Government must not allow knee-jerk intervention following news the Syrian government may have used chemical weapons against rebels.
He said facts needed to be established to verify whether chemical weapons had been used and by whom.
He added: “The UN inspectors need speedy access to all potential sites where both sides have claimed chemical weapons have been used.”
