Man denies knife threat
A MAN, accused of assaulting another man outside a school and carrying a knife, has appeared in court.
John Henly, 38, of Stanley Road, Benfleet, is accused of the attack outside Appleton School on March 19.
He denied the charges of threatening a person with a bladed or pointed article and assault by beating when he appeared at Basildon Crown court yesterday.
He will return to court on December 9, when he will stand trial.
