ARMED police stormed a Southend industrial estate.
Officers raided the warehouse on the Greyhound Estate off Sutton Road at 11am this morning after reports from nearby residents that they could smell cannabis.
When police entered the building, they discovered several plants and arrested one person.
The force helicopter hovered over Sutton Road to assist officers on the ground.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "A number of cannabis plants have already been found during the initial stages of the police search and a person has been arrested in connection with the drugs find."
