ARE you having a laugh tonight? Would you like one? If you really want to chuckle your woes away then head along to the Towngate Theatre in Basildon.
A night of stand-up comedy from the world famous Jongleurs Comedy Club will be taking centre stage at the St Martin’s Square venue tonight (Thursday, September 5) at 8pm.
Featuring well-known comedians Philberto, Sean Meo and Echo columnist Markus Birdman, who recently wowed the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with his solo show One Step Beyond, this is a one night only pitstop by the Jonguleurs as part of a UK tour.
Matt Rudge, whose comedic style has been hailed as “warm, funny and perception-changing” will be demonstrating to audiences why he won the TV Collective Award for ‘Best Talent’ in 2010 and was also nominated for the Bafta Breakthrough Talent award.
Thanks to a two- for- one offer on the door at the Towngate, this is one lighthearted evening that won’t be heavy on the wallet.
Tickets are £12 and £10 for concessions. They can be bought from the box office on 01268 465465 or on the door where you’ll get two for one. Over 18s only.
