A MAN was taken to hospital with a serious head injury after his car smashed into two parked vehicles in Blenheim Chase, Leigh, this morning.
Emergency services were called to the residential street just before 3am. where a grey Audi A3 crashed into a red Ford Sierra and a yellow Mercedes Sprinter van.
Firefighters from Leigh and Southend administered first aid to the driver, who was the only person in the car, while they waited for paramedics to arrive.
An Essex Police spokeswoman said the man suffered a serious head injury and was taken to the Royal London Hospital.
His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
