AN Irish musical duo will trawl their vast back catalogue when their tour stops in Clacton later this year.
Foster and Allen have released more than 30 albums in their 40-year career and sold more than 18 million records and videos worldwide.
The pair, and their band, are embarking on a UK tour this month, which, on November 5, will arrive at the West Cliff Theatre, Clacton.
The duo formed their act in 1975, blending easy listening with traditional Irish instruments.
Their first single, the Rambles of Spring, made a strong impact on the Irish market and they were soon in demand for performances in their home country.
In 1982, they made the top 20 in the UK charts with the single, A Bunch of Thyme, and won themselves an appearance on Top of the Pops.
Other big hits include Old Flames and 1983’s Maggie.
Since then, Foster and Allen have toured the UK twice every year and continue to sell out venues.
Their act has taken them around the world, including the US, Australia and South Africa.
