POLICE are appealing for help to find the owner of a silver bar which has come into their possession.

Officers believe the item has been stolen and are trying to find the rightful owners.

Investigating officer, Dc Andy Coles, said: "There are some very distinctive markings on this item and the owner or anyone with any information relating to this item is urged to come forward and contact us.”

The bar bears the words ‘presented by CE Heath & Co Ltd on the occasion of the silver jubilee’ along-side three inter-locking oval shapes.
