A MAN who allegedly threatened partygoers with a weapon has been banned from entering Basildon.
Alex Stephens, 30, of Finchley Road, Westcliff, cannot cross district boundary lines until his court case is heard.
Stephens is charged with affray and possessing an offensive weapon after allegedly swinging a chain with a padlock on it in front of partygoers in Merricks Lane, Basildon, on August 26.
He appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with the offences and will next appear at Basildon Crown Court for trial at the end of November.
He was granted bail on the condition he doesn’t enter Basildon or make contact with three main witnesses, Charlie Barnes, Craig Bragg and Sophie Morris.
