Road closed after car crashes into ditch
A MAJOR road on Canvey has been closed following a crash.
The A130 Canvey Way – one of only two routes onto the island – has been closed following an accident involving a single vehicle at around 2:30pm.
The road is closed between Sadlers Farm roundabout and Waterside Farm roundabout.
Emergency services are at the scene. Several people are believed to be trapped in the Peugeot car.

The road re-opened at 3.20pm. It is not known what condition the casualties are in.
Surrounding routes remain heavily congested as traffic was being diverted via Benfleet.
