CARING Mollie Hilson has sacrificed 10ins of her hair to donate to a charity which makes wigs for children with cancer.
Mollie, eight, from Southend, sent her long locks to the Little Princess Trust, after a haircut at Toni and Guy, in Southend.
The charity provides wigs made out of real hair to boys and girls who have lost their own through cancer treatment.

Mollie’s mum, Annette, said: “I’m so proud of her for what she’s done. Words can’t even describe it.
“It’s such a drastic change for her, and she looks so mature.
“I keep looking at her and thinking how much older she looks.
“Tom at Toni and Guy was great, he made her feel really special when he was cutting it off.
“He pulled her hair into a ponytail, and when he chopped it off, the staff and other people getting their hair cut cheered and clapped. It was lovely.
“When it was finished, her first words were, ‘I love it!’”
Mollie decided to donate her hair to the charity at Christmas, and has spent the past nine months growing it long.
Annette says when Mollie first decided to donate her hair to charity, she was hoping to raise £200, in sponsor ship but she has exceeded that figure by miles.
Annette said: “We’re still counting the final total and waiting for money to come in, but she’s raised £550 on her JustGiving page, and the grand total is estimated at £800.
“It’s amazing. Everyone has been so supportive.
