AN 80-YEAR-OLD woman had her purse stolen while she shopped in Shoebury.
Police are trying to identify a woman who was caught on CCTV at the tiome of the offence on Wednesday, September 11.
The victim, who is in her 80s, was shopping in Asda, in North Shoebury Road, when she was approached by a woman.
The suspect then left the store and shortly afterwards the victim realised her purse was missing from her bag.
The suspect is described as white, in her mid 20s, and had ginger hair which was tied back.
She was wearing a navy body warmer over a jumper with a snowflake motif and dark jeans.
Anyone who recognises the woman or who has any other information about the theft is asked to call PC Lamb at Shoebury Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
