BARRIERS will be installed to stop tearaway motorcyclists causing a danger to children.

Basildon Council will add metal barriers around flats at Pin Mill within the next two months.

Residents feared a child could be killed by bikers who were driving on footpaths around the block, near Broadmayne.

Councillor Pat Rackley said: “It will improve the quality of life for the residents.”
