A TESCO Express manager is set to spend 24 hours in a delivery cage to raise cash for charity.
Lee Clark will raise money for Diabetes UK when he starts the challenge outside the shop in Southchurch Road, Southend, at 2pm on October 11, and continue until 2pm the next day.
Lee, 31, has completed numerous fundraisers in store, from sponsored silences for a week of shifts to fancy dress for charities including Southend Hospital, but says this will be his toughest yet.
He said: “I’ll have to endure a Friday night out there. I’ll have no food, no access to the internet and maybe only a loo break occasionally. It’s going to be tough “I want people to come and see me and give money to Diabetes UK.”
