A PUBLIC consultation was launched yesterday to outline early plans for a proposed housing development at the Gunners Park in Shoebury.
Representatives from Garrison Developments outlined their vision at an exhibition at the new Hinguar School, in Shoebury.
The company proposes building homes and businesses at the 20-acre site, keeping a four-and-a-half acre landscaped public space.
Adam Thomas, spokesman for Garrison Developments, said: “The site has had planning permission for commercial properties since 2004, but the needs and economy of the area have changed since then.
“We haven’t brought any designs or layouts, we’re just showing residents the site as it is.”
The company will create an outline planning application based on feedback from the event.
