THE world's fastest man, Usain Bolt, is currently on Southend Pier filming with Jamie Olvier.
Bolt has been seen by crowds slaving over a hot stove with the Essex masterchef and his pal Jimmy Doherty.
Just had a chat with the great @usainbolt nicest bloke ever! #totallegend

Yesterday, camera crews battled the elements as filming continuedon Southend Pier for Jamie Oliver’s TV programme Jamie and Jimmy’s Food Fight Club.
Wind and rain lashed down as Jamie and co-host Jimmy Doherty were joined by guest for the day, TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp. Kirstie’s appearance followed that of Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden and Hollywood star Sienna Miller earlier in the week.
On the pier was big Jamie fan Richard Bloomberg, 37, of Southchurch who was undeterred and had been waiting all day to get a picture with the celebrity chef. Richard said: “He’s an inspiration.
“He’s very adaptable and shows that it’s OK for guys to cook.
“Because of him, more guys are now cooking and baking.
“It’s good that someone as high profile as him comes to Southend and help to put it on the map.”
Esther Whittaker, 80, was visiting from Weybridge, in Surrey.
She said: “Anything that’s done to help promote Southend has to be good.Ithought Southend was finished as a resort, but if this kind of thing helps to promote it, then I’m all for it.”
