SIX people have appeared in court accused of drug offences, after being arrested as part of a crackdown in Basildon.
A total of nine people were charged in connection with the alleged supply of Class A drugs in the town between January 2012 and July this year. Liban Abdulle, 22, of Kingston Road, Ilford, Elliot Bristow, 24, of Victoria Road, London, Leigh Chatfield, 23, of Hevingham Drive, Chadwell Heath, Abdul Hassan, 26, of Guildford Road, Ilford, Addullah Omar, 25, of Norwich Road, London, and Allister Elsey, 35, of Long Riding, Basildon, have all been accused of various counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
Mohammed Ahmed, 22, of Mulberry Way, Illford, Madar Adnan, 18, Warren Hill Prison, Suffolk, and Kori Mountford-Farmer, 22, of Merricks Lane, Basildon, are all accused of the same offences, but were not present at the hearing, which took place at Basildon Crown Court.
The case has been adjourned until October 31.
