A SHIRT bearing the signature of the world’s most expensive footballer has raised £151.
Robert Onasse auctioned the signed Gareth Bale shirt on Ebay last week to raise cash for the Ronald McDonald House Charity, which supported the family of his godson, Harry Ingram, before he died.
Harry was the captain of the Canvey Island under nines football team. He died in 2011 from a heart condition, aged eight.
Ambitious Mr Onasse had hoped to raise the same amount as a top footballer’s wage – which can be around £250,000.
However he said he was pleased with the final amount.
