THOUSANDS of pounds worth of gardening tools were stolen from a Basildon shop.
Thieves used a grinder to cut the hinges and lock from a door at Stanton Hope, in Seax Court, before helping themselves to chainsaws, hedge-trimmers and other garden tools.
The burglary at the leading forestry equipment store took place between 8pm and 8.30pm on Tuesday, September 17.
