TWO teenage girls were ordered to pay £20 compensation each after assaulting a woman on a train.
The 17-year-olds were also given six-month referral orders after an altercation with the woman on a Liverpool Street to Rayleigh train.
The girls each admitted assault by beating, but denied spitting at or punching the victim, on March 23.
They were handed the sentence at Southend Magistrates’ Court.
