AN inquest has opened into the death of a mother who was found dead at her home.
Tolu Kalejaiye, 44, was found last Thursday in a pool of blood at her house in Wetherfield way, Wickford.
Her son Oludotun Emmanual Kalejaiye, 21, appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court today. He is charged with her murder.
The inquest, which was opened and adjourned, heard how Mrs Kalejaiye had died from a stab wound to the left side of her neck.
Oludotun Emmanual Kalejaiye was remanded in custody and will return to court for a plea and case management hearing in November.
