THIS is the woman used as honeytrap to lure a man with the promise of sex before he was subjected to a terrifying knifepoint robbery.

As we first revealed yesterday, Daniel Beeson and Tyrone Webb, both 18, posed as a girl called Jess on the Blackberry messenger service before sending revealing photographs of an unknown woman to men who they had started conversations with.

Six men then agreed to meet the ficitious Jess at Wickford railway station, an address in Birch Green, Wickford, or a flat in Stratford, East London, after being promised sex.

However the victims were set upon by Beeson, of Hurry Close, Stratford, and Webb, of Amity Road, Stratford, who threatened them with a 6ins-long kitchen knife and stripped them of their belongings, including mobile phones, iPads, cash, bank cards, keys and even clothing.

Beeson’s girlfriend Lorna Yeates, 21, helped lure a 23- year-old man to an alleyway, in Birch Green, during one incident on April 8 where he was robbed by Beeson and Webb and told “shut up or I’m going to stab you and you’re going to die and no one will know you’re here”.

Another victim was left needing eight stitches after he was slashed with a blade in his thigh during a robbery in a car park in Birch Green, Wickford, in the early hours of April 18.

When police searched the mother-of-two’s home in Doeshill Drive, Wickford, they also discovered she had stashed stolen items from four robberies. Judge David Owen Jones sentenced both Beeson and Webb to six years behind bars.

Beeson admitted four robberies, one count of wounding and one count of perverting the course of justice, while Webb pleaded guilty to six robberies.

Yeates was sentenced to 14 months in prison after pleading guilty to one robbery and four counts of handling stolen property.

Addressing the trio at Basildon Crown Court yesterday, Judge Owen Jones said: “These were appalling, shocking and terrifying robberies of young men who were lured by Blackberry messages with photographs of women and the promise of sexual relations.

“They travelled to Wickford where they were taken into an alleyway and robbed at knifepoint.

“It’s clear it was a very frightening experience for all of these young men."

Det Sgt Mike Wilkinson of Basildon CID, who was the investigating officer added: “This was a protracted and, at times, complex inquiry made the more difficult by the number of mobile phones used by the suspects.

“During their offending, they would frequently swap SIM cards and use phones stolen in previous robberies in the commission of future ones.

“I would advise people to think twice before making arrangements to meet people they are unfamiliar with in locations that they don’t know.”
