Bigger, better Christmas is coming
THE Eastgate Centre, Basildon Council and Basildon Town Centre Management have teamed up to offer a “bigger and better” Christmas lights switch on.
The event, on November 16, will feature a Victorian market, activities for children and a celebrity to switch on the lights.
Basildon Council leader Tony Ball said: “We want to bring the festive spirit to Basildon. It’s about raising the profile of the town centre. We mustn’t forget the heart of the community is its high street.
