A BUS fire caused massive long tailbacks on the A130.
The vehicle caught light on the south-bound track of the dual carriageway between Howe Green and the Rettendon turn-off at about 9.20am today.
The First bus was in a lay-by at the time and didn't have any passengers on board.
Fire crews spent about 40 minutes tackling the blaze, which was put out by 10am.
It is not yet know how the fire started.
Firefighters remain at the scene.
Some motorists faced delays of up to an hour as they waited to pass the scene.
