He was the pin-up for a generation of girls and will be making hearts flutter once more when he visits Basildon.
Former Bay City Roller Les McKeown may have spilt from the original band some 28 years ago, but he's still keeping their hits alive.
He is now out on tour and Basildon's Chicago Rock Cafe is one of his first stops on Sunday, January 28.
Les and his Legendary Bay City Rollers were formed in the Nineties and have toured the world, performing updated and rearranged versions of the Scottish band's hits.
Chicago Rock's general manager Tony Parker says: "Les is a first-class performer who knows how to stir a crowd up, after decades on the road, we're expecting tickets to sell fast."
The original group were hugely successful during the Seventies, when they won the hearts of young girls with their tartan-clad good looks and catchy tunes.
Les and his bandmates notched up nine UK top ten hits including two number ones.
Among their most memorable songs are Bye Bye Baby, which was the biggest-selling single of 1975,Saturday Night, Shang-A-Lang and Remember.
Even today their music is still selling, with current album sales tipping 300million.
After leaving the Bay City Rollers in 1979, Les put together his first solo album, All Washed Up, followed by five studio albums.
His time is now devoted to the Legendary Bay City Rollers with whom he tours the world.
