CHRISTOPHER Biggins is set to star in this year's pantomime at the Cliffs Pavilion.
The nation’s favourite pantomime Dame will makes his Southend pantomime debut this Christmas in the role of Mrs Smee in Peter Pan, with international superstar David Hasselhoff in the role of Captain Hook.
Christopher Biggins television appearances include being crowned King of the Jungle on ITV’s I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!, winner of Celebrity Come Dine with Me on Channel 4 as well as making regular appearances on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
He is has honed his on-stage skills with a series of appearances in pantomime throughout his career.

Having two such superb stars leading the cast of this year’s magical pantomime, combined with top-drawer production values, stunning sets and fabulous costumes makes Peter Pan the must-see pantomime in Essex.

Peter Pan guarantees a treasure-chest full of comedy, much seasonal silliness, along with stunning flying sequences.
Theatre Director Ellen McPhillips said: “We are, of course, delighted that Christopher Biggins will be appearing in Southend this Christmas. He is well-known for his portrayals of hilarious dames in pantomimes across the country and the introduction of the Mrs Smee character will perfectly complement the hugely-popular David Hasselhoff playing Hoff The Hook.”
“Since announcing that The Hoff will be starring in the pantomime there has been a massive demand for tickets, and the addition of Christopher is the icing on the cake. He has appeared in Southend a number of times in the past and has always gone down extremely well with audiences of all ages.”
Peter Pan is produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world’s largest pantomime producer. Such is the expected demand for tickets that the producers have added an extra week to the planned run!
