ROTARIANS have helped a young performer pursue her dreams in music and dance.
The Rotary Club of Wickford have made a donation of £200 to Lois Chapman, 12, of Wickford, to attend residential rehearsals in the performing field.
She has taken part in performing arts since the age of six performing arts and last year took the part of Little Cosette in Musical Youth UK’s performance of Les Miserables.
This year she has been chosen to join the National Musical Youth Theatre and will join the cast when NYMT present four performances of The Ragged Child during July, along with their Christmas show later this year.
This involves spending quite a few weeks away from home over the course so the cash is needed for that.
