A GROUP of friends is celebrating after completing a gruelling mud challenge which saw them raise £3,000 for Little Havens Hospice.
A team of 28 people took part in the Gauntlet assault course, in Finchingfield, earlier this month which saw them cross 6km of mud pits, water and obstacles including a wall, spider webs and trenches.
Lauren Cox, aged 25, of Wickford, who helped organise the challenge, said: “Although this was a really tough challenge, we all really enjoyed taking part knowing we were raising money for such a great cause as Little Havens.
“We were surprised and delighted to raise as much as we have and we are thankful to all those who have given so generously.
“Little Havens is a wonderful charity and has recently become even more important to us knowing our friends will soon be benefitting from the support of Little Havens with their baby boy.”
