Mayflower's Michael Markham was on superb form when Rayleigh Town Archery Club held their annual Open Portsmouth competition.
The opening day was for juniors, with 63 archers shooting compound, recurve and long bow style.
The day was split into two sessions and a few archers elected to shoot in both but only their first score counted for the competition.
A fantastic score of 571 saw Markham take gold in the under 16 boys' section.
