R Pedder (Jan 8) suggests selling off green belt at £5,000 an acre to allow young people to build cheap homes.
Why does he/she think housing is so expensive? Because inadequate laws allow property developers to take advantage.
Housing was expensive when I first got married, so I rented like so many others, worked hard and saved to buy my first place like so many others. As life progresses prices rise along with wages - it's a fact.
It maybe that only 13.5 per cent of the country is built on, but if we keep building, towns will all merge into concrete Britain.
