Christine Sexton's article about my forthcoming seminar on crop circles was nicely balanced and unsensationalised.
The same could not be said for the character assassination in Sally King's column the next day, which was spiteful and unnecessary.
Ms King is entitled to her views on the circles, though they seem based on opinion and not evidence, as is most sceptic propaganda. However, it is scurrilous to suggest that money is my motivation for researching crop circles.
Those who have devoted years to researching this subject know that no amount of sales or fees could recoup the many thousands of pounds spent chasing this passion. Contrary to Ms King's assertion, I do not earn my living from crop circles. If money was my ambition, I would find something more lucrative to pursue.
Incidentally, I did not say anywhere in the original article that crop circles were made by "aliens".
There are many possibilities. How can an opinion be reached before knowing the real evidence?
Anyone wishing to weigh it up for themselves should come along to the Benfleet event on March 25. Call 07773 560378 for details, or visit www.swirlednews.com.
