There is a need for traveller sites but these should be permanent - these people have to live somewhere.
The Government and councils are at fault for not providing proper facilities, but travellers should not have been allowed to build on green belt as this is our heritage.
It should be protected so our children and grandchildren will be able to enjoy unspoilt open spaces.
Property developers are only interested in profit, not the environment. There are "brown" sites, disused warehouses and empty houses that could be used to create affordable housing.
