FIREFIGHTERS spent nearly an hour battling a lorry blaze on a Basildon industrial estate.
Crews from Rayleigh Weir and Billericay were called to Luckyn Lane, in Pipps Hill, just before 8.45pm yesterday after the cab of the lorry went up in flames.
It had been parked up overnight and no one was hurt in the fire.
Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used three hose reels to tackle the flames by 9.40pm.
