Concern – John Budge wants more information
SHOEBURY residents are concerned about the lack of information they have received fromRoyal Mail ahead of changes to post box collection times.
As of September 15, post boxes nationwide will only have one collection a day, which could be as early as 9am.
John Budge, secretary of Shoebury Residents’ Association, said notices on affected post boxes in Shoebury simply state collection will be no earlier than 9am. However, Royal Mail have reassured nearby residents that the box at West Shoebury Post Office will retain a 4pm or later collection.
