Former Southend United manager Peter Taylor has quit as the England under-21 manager.
Taylor has been splitting his national duties with his role as Crystal Palace boss.
But he has now opted to relinquish his Football Association post to concentrate his energies at Selhurst Park.
"I ca't do it anymore and devote my time to helping the team ahead of June's European Under-21 Championship in Holland," Taylor said.
"Anybody coming in would have to commit a lot to the job. I'm sad but I've had a great time with England."
The Eagles manager had two spells in charge of the England U21 side.
The first was between 1996 and 99, and the second started in 1994.
