AN INTERNET blogger, who claimed the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby was a hoax, has been arrested again.
Chris Spivey, 51, was arrested at his home in Rochford, but police have refused to reveal why.
He was previously arrested on suspicion of harassment via social media in July after he claimed the British establishment hoaxed the soldier’s public beheading to foster hatred against Muslims But police said the latest arrest was for an unrelated matter.
A police spokesman said: “Essex Police are continuing their investigation into an allegation of harassment via social media, which was referred to the force by Greater Manchester Police in July.
“As part of the investigation, a 51- year-old man from Rochford was arrested on suspicion of harassment on Wednesday, July 30.
“He was interviewed at Southend police station and released on police bail.
“On Monday, October 6, the man was further arrested for an unrelated matter and questioned.
“He was bailed to report back on Wednesday, November 9.”
Spivey, whose followers include former footballer and Grandstand TV presenter David Icke, now one of the highest-profile conspiracy theorists in the world, claims police entered his home and arrested him without a warrant.
In a video posted on his blog allegedly showing the raid, Mr Spivey can be heard shouting: “You are entering illegally. You have no search warrant.”
Photographs of a broken door frame and window, published on the website, reportedly show damage caused by police. Mr Spivey was unavailable for comment.
