Revenge was sweet for league leaders Southend after putting Old Patesians to the sword with a 64-12 win at Warners Bridge on Saturday.
The Cheltenham side put a dent in the Seasiders' title aspirations back in September after pulling off a surprise 23-15 win.
Southend coach Kevin Harman was desperate to put the record straight against the second from bottom strugglers - who are one of only two teams to beat his table toppers this season.
And a thorough demolition job of Old Pats came with the added bonus that the Seasiders' main promotion rivals, Westcombe Park and Lydney, both lost on Saturday.
A double boost which leaves Harman's troops 11 points clear in pole position for the race to National Two.
"We put in a very professional display against one of the bottom sides," said Harman.
"The players didn't need motivating for this one as they were desperate to put the record straight after getting turned over down there.
"And we did that in style, scoring 10 tries and putting 60 odd points on the board.
"I couldn't have been happier, but this game is gone now and we have to focus on this weekend's trip to Lydney, which is a massive, massive fixture."
