East Thurrock United manager Lee Patterson is determined to bring in new faces to give his side a lift for tonight's Ryman Premier match at AFC Wimbledon.

After the disappointment of conceding a last minute winner to Hendon at home on Saturday, a defeat that drops Rocks into the relegation places, Patterson has conceded he fears the worst unless he can instil a big turnaround in fortunes.

"The result has dropped us into the automatic relegation places which is very worrying. We had a good chat with the players after the game and they were extremely disappointed with the result," said Patterson.

"There are a lot of games to play and although there is no need to panic as we have to play most of the sides around us, I won't lie and say I am not worried, I am and I have already moved to bring in a couple more forwards in time for Tuesday's visit to Wimbledon.

"To lose the game against Hendon was difficult to take, especially in the last minute, but once again we missed enough chances and I would say we dominated in the second half, although Hendon created a few chances on the break, but most of their chances came through individual errors.

"We missed two free headers and their keeper was in top form with two or three good stops. I have agreed terms with both players and I hope they can make a difference in our fight to stay in this Division. I cannot fault the players' effort once more and with a bit more luck then the result could have been different.

"I have spoken with several Managers since 5 o'clock Saturday and have some other options up my sleeve. I can tell everyone connected to East Thurrock I am doing my utmost to improve the side and will fight every game to get us out of trouble."
