Southend, Crouch, Canvey and Bradwell boats are reporting lots of codling, whiting, pouting, dabs and bass.
Southend Pier head is fishing well for codling, whiting and dabs, with the pier stem the place for flounders.
Southend's beaches are still producing lots of small bass and whiting during the day time.
Better fishes are being caught at night and the best spot currently is between the slipway and the foreshore hut.
Further along the seafront, Westcliff beaches are the place to head for if you are targeting schoolies and flounders.
The best mark is behind Adventure Island.
Occasional flounders and schoolies are being landed at Chalkwell beaches.
Canvey's Scars Elbow and beaches are doing well for codling and schoolies.
Stanford-le-Hope is the place to go for bass and flounders.
Up-river marks at Tilbury and Gravesend are producing codling and dabs.
Heading further afield, some decent codling are being caught at Clacton pier and Offord Island, among smaller fare.
Anglers wanting to go further afield will find Dungeness in Kent still offering good sport, with some good-sized codling turning up among the dabs.
And staying in Kent, Deal pier is fishing well with lots of codling and dabs showing.
But the top spot in south-east Essex however is the Hole in the Wall at Wallasea for some really good codling.
