THE ECHO has delved into the archives to bring out just a few memories of the nightclubs and discos of south Essex in the 80s and 90s.
From a foam party at the Kings Club on Canvey to a New Year’s Eve disco at Zero 6, we were there to capture the party atmosphere.
The Echo asked for your memories of clubs in south Essex and we had a great response on Facebook.
Tracey Lynch wrote: “Anyone remember Chesters/Waves on High Street? Think it's a bookmakers now.. you went downstairs to the club.”
Fiona Hutchison added: “You can't beat the old Tots days in the 90's!”

Glen Hardy said he celebrated his 21st birthday at Fantasy nightclub upstairs in the Victoria Shopping centre, Southend.
David Hawley remembered: “The tree on the edge of the dance floor in Request and getting a burger and chips in the upper bar, tables and chairs for couples on the balcony. Plus if you couldn't get in you could try The Factory.”
