A SPECTACULAR 4D light display wowed shoppers in Southend High Street as the town gets in the Christmas spirit.
The Christmas display, projected onto wall above the My Local shop, made its debut on Saturday afternoon.
Shows will run between 4pm and 8pm daily until Saturday, December 12, with the fourth dimension being provided by “snow canons” giving the appearance of a winter blizzard.
The shows have been organised by the Southend BID team, which hopes it will encourage more families into the town centre.
A Christmas market and a Wizard of Oz theme in Southend town centre on Saturday also helped get shoppers in the festive mood.
A Yellow Brick Road was running along the High Street, as shoppers had a chance to meet the Scarecrow and Cowardly Lion.
BBC Essex presenter and Echo columnist Sadie Nine also presented her show live from the Royals Shopping Centre as part of the day’s celebrations.
