A JUNIOR school has done its bit for the community this Christmas.
Children from Holt Farm Junior School, in Ashingdon Road, Rochford, have helped to fill goodie bags for elderly local residents by collecting food, board games and warm clothing, as part of their Helping Hands initiative.
The school also received donations from Essex Age UK to add to the items already donated by pupils and their families.
The bags will be handed out in the lead-up to Christmas, with the aim of bringing a little bit of warmth and comfort to the elderly population of Rochford.
