A DRUG dealer has been jailed for three years after he was caught in an undercover police sting. 

Steven Starkey of Woodbrooke Way was sentenced at Basildon Crown Court after pleading guilty to supplying Class A drugs and possession of Class B drugs.

Starkey, 32, was arrested on September 10 last year after police officers witnessed him handover a package containing 254 grams of cocaine on Oak Crescent, Wickford on the afternoon of March 13, 2015.

A search of his home address also uncovered another 8.8 grams of cocaine and 21 grams of cannabis hidden in a kitchen cupboard.

Starkey was sentenced to three years imprisonment for supplying class A drugs and four months for possession of class B drugs to run concurrently.
