LOOKING for something to do this weekend? We've put together a list of things happening in Essex over the next two days.
1. JOIN the South East Essex Ramblers on a walk around a river this Saturday.
The group will meet at Rayleigh Weir Sainsburys car park at 9.30am for the walk around Tollesbury.
The walk will set off from the free car park in Woodrolf Road, Tollesbury, and the group will walk a lap of Tollesbury Wick passing the old fishing area with picturesque sail lofts, the modern marina, views of the lightship & onto the sea wall of river Crouch.

2. WORRIED residents will air concerns about burglaries in Stanford-le-Hope and Corringham to police chiefs.
A meeting has been organised on Saturday, January 23, to address home safety and crime prevention. It will take place at Homesteads Village Hall, Dunstable Road, Corringham.
Chief Insp Leigh Norris and Police and Crime Commissioner Nick Alston will be in attendance, along with MP Stephen Metcalfe, from noon until 2pm.
3. HEAR about spooky goings on in Essex at the Essex Ghost and Hauntings Charity Talk in Clacton.
Visitors are invited to Little Clacton Village Hall in London Road on Saturday, January 23 from 7.30pm.
Author Jason Day will be talking about the places around Essex that are haunted and things that go bump in the night.
£5 for adults or £3 for concessions. Admission includes refreshments.

4. TEST your strength at a bouldering session at Rainham Marshes this weekend.
The Active in Nature drop in session will be held at the nature reserve, New Tank Hill Road, Purfleet, on Saturday from 1pm until 3pm.
There are free taster sessions and people can try out a variety of ascents and descents with a climbing expert.
Boulder grades range from beginner to more advanced (V0-V5) to challenge and develop climbing skills.

5. THE RSPB is set to hold its regular birdwatch. The charity, with offices at Wat Tyler Park in Pitsea Hall Lane, Pitsea, is planning its Big Garden Birdwatch on Sunday January 24.

6. A BALLROOM and sequence tea dance will be held this weekend in St Osyth.
Dancers are invited to Dumont hall in Dumont Avenue from 8pm on Saturday.

7. TEST your general knowledge at a quiz night this weekend.
Frinton Community Association in Soken House at the Triangle Shopping Centre will host the evening on Saturday, January 23.
Admission is free for members and non-members are welcome for £2. It will run from 7.30pm until 10.30pm.

8. THE Essex Humanists will be holding a meeting on Sunday.
The free event will be held at the Friends Meeting House, Rainsford Road, Chelmsford, from 2.30pm.
Edith Miler, founder member of The Ideas Hub in Chelmsford will explain the objectives of the Hub and how it helps develop a cohesive society by promoting educational activities.

9. ENJOY the Southend Chamber Music Club concert in St Margaret's Church, Lime Avenue, Leigh, from 7.30pm on Saturday.
