A CYCLIST is being treated by paramedics after hitting a car windscreen in an accident.
The accident occurred at about 11.40am on the junction of London Road and Chalkwell Avenue, Westcliff, involving a white Toyota and a male cyclist.
The man is understood to have hit the windscreen of the car during the collision and is being tended to by paramedics.
Firefighters are also on the scene.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called to London Road, Westcliff, at 11.41am to reports of a road traffic accident involving a cyclist and a car.
"We despatched a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance crew which remain on the scene tending to the cyclist, a male believed to be in his forties, who sustained minor injuries."
