POLICE tasered a man after he allegedly threatened people with a knife in a house.
A man with a knife is believed to have been making threats inside a property in Prospect Close, Southend, at about midday.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “Police were contacted shortly after 12pm on July 5 with reports of a disturbance in Prospect Close, Southend.
“A man was reported to have made threats and officers engaged with the man.
“Entry was gained to the property and used a Taser to detain him.
“Officers remain at the scene making enquiries.”
An ambulance service spokesman said: “We got a call at 2.27pm to reports of an incident in Prospect Close in Southend.
“It looked like a concern for welfare.
“We sent two ambulance officers and an ambulance crew.
“The police were also present and took the lead on this incident.
“There was a man who was in his 20s and he had an injury. However, it looks like nobody was conveyed to hospital.”
