A company which had its premises completely destroyed by a fire has confirmed that it is fully operational – less than 10 days after the devastating blaze.

Global company P2P Mailing's warehouse, located in Festival Way, Basildon, was caught on fire in the early hours of Sunday August 20.

More than 100 firefighters and 15 engines were at the warehouse putting out the flames. Lorries parked outside the warehouse were also destroyed by the fire.

In a statement released by P2P today, the company confirmed the warehouse is fully running again.

"Orders are now being processed as normal and all work is up to date. Additionally, all back-office functions, including customer service and accounts, are up and running again.

"Furthermore, P2P Mailing can confirm that it has found new premises situated within two and a half miles of its previous Basildon facility, more details of which will be released in due course."

They added: "P2P Mailing would like to acknowledge all the hard work carried out by its staff, from the Warehouse Operational Team to the Senior Management team as well as the support from the wider Delivery Group Companies and our Vendor Partners, and thank them for making this recovery as swift and seamless as possible.

"The company would also like to extend its thanks to all our customers for their understanding, support and cooperation and to reassure the market that all processing is back to normal."

No employees were injured in the fire.
